All that I am after is a life full of laughter

The last week we had Fathers Day and Jacob's Birthday...Fathers day was a tough day for us but thankfully the Evalds invited us over for a BBQ. Sheri bought a trampoline and Jacob couldn't wait to use it!! He ADORES all the Evalds-We BOTH do!

Jordan and Jake...no matter how hard he tried he couldn't get as high as them....Look at the concentration on Jacob face! We had a great day with the Evalds and the Bolars as always! I am so thankful for them and all the boys in their family that jump in and help me with Jacob and all the boy stuff.
We decided to start a new tradition for Frank, whenever we miss him or its a special holiday we will go for a walk and find the coolest rocks we can find and write on them and put them in a vase and that way we can go back and read them or just look at the vase and be reminded of Frank

I know everyone thinks that their husband is the best Father...but mine really WAS! He changed dirty diapers! he played with him all the time.....read him books (although sometimes it was the hunting regulations lol) He was a GREAT Dad! so instead of being sad that he is not here anymore...We are going to rejoice in the fact that he WAS there for 7 years of Jacobs life and hopefully that was enough of a good solid foundation! He gave me an amazing son and for that I will always be grateful!


Jacob is now 9 and got to pick his new haircut!!! drumroll please!!!! here it is!!! cutest 9 year old in the world!!! His obsession lately has been WWE and he is on a mission to get all the wrestlers...Aunt Michelle bought him a wrestling ring and the wrestlers he has been looking for and then Grandpa Robert sent him some more and then Grace bought him some also....its amazing that no one got him the same ones!! He has been in wrestling heaven! Today these are the pictures I found on my Ipad

A piece of the puzzle is missing

I haven't been able to blog for the last year since Frank passed because I have felt like a piece of the puzzle has been missing.  I am sad to say I haven't taken alot of pictures because when I do I feel like something...someone is missing. Looking back at my past blogs I am sad for what we have lost, an amazing Father, Husband, Son, Friend. It frustrates me that life goes on without him. No matter how angry, sad, and depressed I get, nothing ever changes...tomorrow comes and he is still not here. So here I am attempting to create my own happiness...for myself and for Jacob, and I think I need to start here....blogging and making new memories.....as crippling as it is.... without Frank. I decided that I am going to post something I am thankful for everyday...as a reminder that not all is lost....so today....I am thankful for my amazing son...who is the reason I get up in the morning and face the day without Frank with a smile on my face...
