Phenomenal Woman

I read an article today about Abercrombie and Fitch that infuriated me. The article stated that A &F refuses to carry bigger sizes because they only want to attract skinny beautiful people that are in the "cool crowd!" I am appalled at the fact that Mike Jeffries would actually come out and blatantly say this ...What ever happened to what's on the inside is more important than the outside? I love wearing labels just as much as the next girl...and being plus size it's not always easy.. .... so I say to A&F ...who cares if you don't carry anything over a size 10 even though the average American Woman is a size 14. You and your CEO DO NOT get to say what defines Beauty....Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder. I know some Beautiful plus size women, who are cute, funny and most definitely cool! . I am sad because of the message this sends to all the girls out there already struggling with self acceptance and low self esteem. Skinny People are not the only ones that can be Popular, Beautiful, and Dressed stylish....Shame on you Abercrombie for being the Junior High School Bully that everyone was afraid of! Get over yourself




Lets be real for a second.....the fact that Abercrombie and Fitch refuses to carry plus size will not affect my style..I have a great wardrobe that does not have ONE piece of A & F clothing and I have survived. Labels do not define who we are....








The best advice I can give a girl who is not an "Abercrombie Size 10" is
BE YOURSELF
BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN
YOUR SIZE DOES NOT MAKE WHO YOU ARE




I love Torrid it's my absolute fave store EVER...but if you see something at Target that you like....Rock it!! who cares if it isn't name brand ...I rocked a shirt today from Michael's TRUE STORY
It's not the Clothes that makes the (WO)man ....it's the(Wo)Man that makes the clothes.




The most Amazing Poem I have ever read is Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelou - That's my anthem....it should be yours too! I am 99% sure that Maya Angelou wrote that poem specifically for me . My favorite line is...."Pretty Women wonder where my secret lies, I'm not cute, or built to suit a fashion model size" She is saying that even Pretty women wonder what her secret is....Why is she "Popular" or in the "in Crowd?" It's because she is Confident and Phenomenal and she knows it...not because she is wearing Abercrombie and Fitch




The most important thing a girl should wear is Confidence...
